Wargaming Announced World of Warships for Consoles

As with real life, each class of warship has a function in battle; the Destroyers are swift and agile vessels that run circles around most other ships and are more effective with their torpedo attacks than their main battery, unfortunately their hulls appear to be made of tin foil and an unlucky salvo from a battleship will sink your ship in one fell swoop as I have found out on more than one occasion. Cruisers are good all rounders that offer a decent balance between maneuverability, armour and firepower. Finally, Battleships can cause the most damage with a single salvo and provide the best in armour but are very slow and take an age to turn.

The submarines are the fragile ninjas of the sea, Wargamings regional publishing director Rajeev Girdhar tells us, and are a high risk, high reward class, which means its extremely fragile but if you're positioned well enough you can create havoc. If the submarine is spotted by an enemy ship they can dive under the surface and be fully submerged under the water. However, with such an advantage comes draw backs: they are the weakest class, Girdhar explains, they have to be otherwise they're too strong.

Because if you're a good player now," he adds, "it's going to change a lot you're going to have limited salvos, less planes in the air, and you're not going to be seeing the big picture like you're used to. You're going to go from being able to win the game by yourself to being just one part of each game." "Well it's going to be hard, because if you like the RTS style of the gameplay that is gone," says Artur Plociennik, Executive Producer on Wargaming's naval not-quite-sim, World of Warships. If you have any sort of inquiries pertaining to where and how you can make use of Cheap World of Warships Doubloons, you could call us at our own web-page. The top down, slower game, multiple squadrons that's not the thing we're doing, so selling players the new mechanics is going to be tough."

Ovechkin doesn't just play World of Warships, by the way: He'll also appear in the game as one of four commanders, one for the US, one for the USSR, and two that are "dual nation," a new type that enables players to "easily switch between Soviet and US fleets with a single commander." In all guises, Captain Ovi will have perks that enhanced targeting and survivability, and will be voiced by the real-life Ovechkin. It's silly, but it could be worse, and let us not forget that World of Warships studio Wargaming is based in Belarus, so getting Ovechkin.

In Wargaming seem to feel a predilection for games with large war machines. For almost a decade, this Belarusian studio has enjoyed the success of World of Tanks, an MMO shooter that also reached consoles in 2016. However, in times of war, even tanks and artillery can know little and not be Deadly enough. It turns out that the final setting for men to test their war machine in a deadly duel is none other than the ocean.
